Tour operator chooses Closed User Group Marketing for growth in Germany
Amsterdam, 28 January 2026
Corendon has announced a strategic partnership with media- and performance agency STROOM to support the tour operator’s international expansion. The partnership initially focuses on the German market, where Corendon is launching their first campaigns this month.
Closed User Group Marketing as a growth strategy
The collaboration centres on STROOM’s Partnership proposition: Closed User Group (CUG) Marketing. A CUG is a closed group of customers with access to a unique online environment via a personal login, such as loyalty platforms, savings programmes and employee associations.
At launch, STROOM’s partnership team will set up five new collaborations with various CUG partners in Germany. The CUG partners will offer their German members an exclusive discount on Corendon package holidays.
In addition, time-limited flash deals will be promoted per CUG partner, featuring special offers to sunny destinations such as Egypt, Turkey and Curaçao.
International ambition
Corendon is broadening its horizon abroad, with Germany as the first step. In the German market, the Dutch tour operator still has limited brand awareness.
“Corendon’s ambitious vision aligns seamlessly with STROOM’s strategic strength. With energy, we support Corendon in the next growth phase of their brand in this complex and competitive market,” said Auke Boersma, Chief Commercial Officer at STROOM.
“Germany is a huge and competitive market, but that is precisely where Corendon has a major growth opportunity. A market where we can confidently demonstrate our differentiating strengths. With STROOM, we strengthen our commercial impact and quickly reach target groups that perfectly match our proposition. This is an important step in our international expansion strategy — and we are only at the beginning.” — Martin de Boer, Commercial Director at Corendon.
